A Coldhouse Collective Film
The need for adventure resides deep in all of us.
In the case of renowned adventurer Leo Houlding, this has manifested itself in the form of world class expeditions to unclimbed peaks the world over.
‘Mirror Wall’, the debut feature film from Coldhouse Collective, follows Leo approaching his latest expedition with a reconsidered mentality and attitude.
Following the death of his close friend Sean ‘Stanley’ Leary and trying to balance potentially dangerous situations with the responsibilities of parenthood - Leo is left leading a team of determined, talented but ultimately inexperienced young guns up one of the tallest big walls in the world.

Team
Leo Houlding
If modern British adventure has a face, it looks a lot like Leo Houlding.
A veteran of a score of epic ascents, including Everest, but specialises in free climbing the most technical peaks and biggest walls in the world.
An experienced base jumper, Leo led the charge on Para-Alpinism (climbing up then flying down). Leo pushes the limits of exploratory adventure by taking the ultimate in extreme sports to the most extreme environments.
Waldo Etherington
An industry leading rigger and world renowned tree climber, Waldo is a knot ninja.
Born and raised in deepest, darkest Dorset, he’s been climbing trees since before he can remember, and has travelled the world on numerous expeditions, ranging from scientific and research led studies through to adventurous exploration of unclimbed canopies in some of the world’s least accessible jungles.
Matt Pickles
Matt is the stronger, better looking but significantly less manly cousin of Leo’s long term climbing partner, Jason Pickles.
With a serious tick list under his belt, Matt has climbed 8c sport, E8 traditional, and climbed the fabled El Capitan. New to adventure big walling, but hungry for some climbing with consequence, Matt is the hard climbing secret weapon.
JOE MÖHLE
Joe comes from a background of hard, exploratory first ascents.
Hailing from South Africa, he is hardy and resilient, and knows how to get things done. A man of few words but lots of action, Joe has dedicated his entire life to rock climbing which manifests itself as an unmatched passion and drive.
Matt Pycroft
Matt is one of the UK's leading adventure film-makers and the Creative Director at Coldhouse Collective.
Chosen specifically by Leo for his ability to capture both film and stills on a big wall, whilst enduring the harsh conditions that expeditions can bring.
Mirror Wall is Coldhouse Collective's debut long form film and is proudly supported by Berghaus.
